Recycling Organic waste

It's complicated, we know...

At school:

- all waste that is biodegradable (breaks down into its original natural compounds)

- all leftover food i.e. banana peels, apple cores, bones, etc.

- as well as dirty napkins or tissues (only if your napkin is from the caf) If it is clean put it in paper)

- special plastics found in the caf made from natural starch polymers can go in organic waste, the plastic container should have this symbol on the bottom:

At home:

- you should collect all your waste that is biodegradable (breaks down into its original natural compounds)

- all leftover food i.e. banana peels, apple cores, bones, etc.

- as well as dirty napkins or tissues

- biodegradable starch bags you sometimes get in the vegetable section in the groceries store should also go in your organic waste bin

- you can bring the organic waste you collect to one of the many collection points around Geneva: map
