Did you know that running the cycles for your laundry consumes large amounts of energy resulting in lots of greenhouse gas emissions? Heating the water typically uses 90% of that energy, so cold washing is a good way to reduce the impact. In addition, using cold water reduces the rate at which synthetics will degrade, releasing fewer plastic particles in the environment and lengthening the lifetime of your cloths.
