It's complicated, we know...

At school:

- if your piece of trash doesn't fit into the other categories: PET, paper, organic or aluminium, then it belongs in the red bin

- this includes your single use coffee cups, plastic wrappers, juice boxes, etc.

At home:

- the waste collection points around Geneva (map) have very diverse categories and we suggest you inform yourself on these in order for you to better know what should go in your general waste bin

- generally it follows the same rules as at school but there can be differences, especially between communes
